DJ Terry Tee, born Terry McCoy in Baltimore, MD, discovered his love for music early on. Inspired by New York DJ mix tapes, he began practicing on a component set before acquiring his own equipment. Alongside rapper Jeffrey McClain (aka Jeffrey G), he started DJ’ing house parties and quickly gained recognition for his mixing and scratching skills. His talent caught the attention of DJ Richard and Mix Master Phil, landing him a spot on the Mac James Flight 712 show on WWIN 1400 AM. DJ Terry Tee introduced Jeffrey G, and together with rival-turned-ally Universe, they formed the We Rock Krew—one of Baltimore’s hottest acts from 1983 to 1989.

After a break from the music scene due to management challenges, Terry launched Terry Tee Productions in 1996, booking artists like DJ Kool, Jay Z, and Foxy Brown. Following Jeffrey G’s passing in 2017, Terry returned to DJ’ing in 2018 and resumed promoting events. He continues to give back by supporting charity events and remains a staple in the entertainment scene through Terry Tee Productions.
